Clearing up outside and prepping some #art

It’s been raining for some days now, but finally stopped and the forecast is for better weather. It’s still to wet outside to do anything really, but it is drying up. Since I bought the new welder and gas tank and up until now, I have been lugging both things by hand (to my backs dismay) outside. Yesterday I figured: NO MORE! I have been looking at a welding cart online and finally went and bought it. It comes, assembly required, and I spent a good half hour on that yesterday morning. I was also struggling with a migraine but managed to pull through though.

I have started decorating my helmet with stickers, so if you have some you want to send me, I’d very much appreciate it! Get in touch: geir@geirandersen.com.

On the flip side, I got rid of a bike and let it go for ~$60. It was used like twice and then stored inside for years, so I just let it go. Haven’t picked up anything in days now, but I have started listing some items back on eBay again, link to my eBay store. I only wish shipping outside of Norway (and inside too…) wasn’t so expensive. It makes selling items to the world hard, because of the price.

Since I can’t go out welding, I have started thinking about projects I’m doing once I can, and today I started a project I thought of while in bed the other night. I struggle to sleep and often lay awake for hours before finally falling asleep. I don’t have too much material I can use yet, as I’ve just started thinking about these things, but I did pick up some stainless steel wire I wanted to use.

A clipper, a plier, a bolt and some wire – Turns into something winged.
I’m not sure I can manage to weld this up with my current skill level, but it sure will be fun to try 😆 . The wings are getting more embellishment also, but I won’t do that until the welder is out.

Got ideas for me? Leave me a comment below or send me an e-mail (address above).

Nice little project

I don’t have to good photos or a finished product yet, but this is a quick and simple little project. It’s a way old garden rake, made from a metal plate and some nails. The nails are welded to the plate and it’s bent around a handle. One of the nails are broken and needs replacing.

An angle grinder, a drill and a bit and the scene is set. I don’t have a nail of the same size, but a simple normal nail is to be welded in place and cut and shaped to fit. I was supposed to weld it up today, but the weather is breaking out again and I will not be outside in the rain, welding. I WANT SOME 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞
