No project this weekend, but maybe I’ll get a tip-video or two going… I got seriously derailed by an emergency visit to the dentist! I truly hate going to the dentist! Turns out that a weeks worth of growing pain in the jaw/mouth, was two teeth in dire need of a root canal job. This will set me back $1000 – $1500, and that’s just great now before Christmas.
It’ll be a few weeks of pain and anguish, but hey…Hmm.. Couldn’t find a real good upside other than pain relief. Hopefully I won’t be set back from pain, so I’ll be able to shoot another project video.
I have been looking to add to my camera gear for a good while now. Having used my simple Canon Legria (something) as my one and only video camera, I wanted to add one more. This time, I wanted a camera that offered the ability of an external microphone. Of all the endless cameras I have looked at, only the high-end video cameras and some semi-high-end DSLR’s offered this. Stopped by one of my regular shops today, and I came across the Canon (I’m a huge canon fan) EOS M. Continue reading “Additions”
I decided to make a “new version” of the zippered pouch, simply because I felt I could do better. My camera setup isn’t 100% ready so I couldn’t record my latest attempt.
This is the finished pouch this time, and I do feel like this is heaps better than the first one. I went above and beyond on this one (spending far more time and effort than needed for a test). Continue reading “Zippered pouch v2.0”
Why throw away old clothes and fabrics? We’ve all got clothes, curtains and the likes we’re no longer using. Why throw all that away? One can of course give it away to charity, but think about it; In stead of giving- / throwing away, why not take the individual pieces “apart” and use for another project? This is of course only applicable if you’re into crafting, sewing, tailoring, etc. If you are, take a look in your closet and assess your wardrobe!
A shirt is no longer just a shirt, it’s cuffs, buttons, fabric, patterns, etc.
A dress is no longer just a dress, there are straps, buttons, zippers, etc…
My sewing experience is fairly limited, but I do learn rather fast. I have never attempted to sew anything “big” and certainly nothing with a zipper. However, as I bought that new sewing machine a couple of weeks ago, I felt it was time to test it on something decent. Continue reading “Sewing a pouch/box”
I haven’t had a chance to get a real project on the go yet, but I have spent some time getting organized. I don’t have a whole room to use for my hobbies, but I do have a corner in a semi-large space. Continue reading “Getting organized”
Let it be known: I spend an awful amount of time on YouTube. Mostly watching videos but also commenting and I also used to create videos for YouTube myself.
Guess what!! I’m making videos again. I’ll be working on writing a post here, for just about every video I make. I took a hiatus from creating videos early spring this year. I don’t know what happened, I just didn’t feel like making videos.
Now that I really have gotten the creating video spirit over me again. I found a huge interest in crating, which sparked the video interest again.
Another blank period, where I haven’t posted anything. I have been super busy and also not felt like posting/writing anything… I have been so focused on woodworking for a very long time, not much else have “gone through” my screens. Just not anything I’ve thought was post-able. I think maybe I’ll start writing more even if…
Spring seems to be upon us, and that’s the time to start thinking about two wheels.
I had a scooter (I don’t have a drivers license for over 50cc 🙁 ) a couple of months last year, but sold it when I got a very nice offer that made me some extra cash. Continue reading “Two wheels!!”
Well, this is a bit of a weird change for me…
I have been a PC man ever since I started using computers. I am a trained computer tech, and worked as a systems admin for several years. However, after several years of working 24/7, I burned out and I’ve never worked professionally with computer or systems since.
I have never worked with Mac’s or Apple products professionally, and I have in fact never actually used their products. A year and a half ago, I borrowed an Ipad and used it for a while. I was so impressed with it I went out and bought my own. Continue reading “A huge change for me!”
